From Mauritanian Champion to Al Assaba Sports Founder: A Football Journey
Football is more than a sport. For many players and football professionals, it is a journey built through dedication, competition, challenges and unforgettable achievements. The story behind Al Assaba Sports is also connected to a football career that began on the pitch and developed across different football leagues in Africa and the UAE.
Before establishing Al Assaba Sports, its founder built valuable experience through competitive football in Mauritania, the UAE and Libya, achieving major honours and gaining an understanding of what it takes to develop and support football talent.
Success in the Mauritanian Premier League
One of the most important chapters of the journey came in the Mauritanian Premier League, where he experienced a remarkable period of success.
As part of the winning team, he became Mauritanian Premier League champion for three consecutive seasons. Winning a league title requires consistency, teamwork and the ability to perform throughout an entire competitive season, making three consecutive championships a significant achievement in his football career.
The team also achieved success in cup competitions, winning the President’s Cup twice and adding a Super Cup title to its honours.
These experiences provided valuable lessons in competitive football, team spirit, discipline and the importance of building a winning mentality.
Major Honours in Mauritania
🏆 Mauritanian Premier League Champion — 3 consecutive seasons
🏆 President’s Cup Winner — 2 times
🏆 Super Cup Winner — 1 time
These achievements became an important foundation for the next stage of his football journey.
A New Challenge in the UAE with Dahara FC
A New Challenge in the UAE with Dahara FC
After achieving success in Mauritania, the next chapter took him to the United Arab Emirates.
He joined Dahara FC, where he took on a new challenge in a different football environment. During his time with the club, he helped the team achieve promotion to the UAE First Division.
Moving into UAE football brought a new perspective and valuable experience. It provided an opportunity to understand the structure of football in the region while working in a competitive environment with players and teams from different backgrounds.
This chapter also strengthened his connection with football in the UAE and contributed to the experience that would later become important in establishing Al Assaba Sports.
Experience in the Libyan Premier League
The football journey continued with a move to Libya, where he signed with Asaria SC and competed in the Libyan Premier League for one season.
Playing and working within another competitive African football environment added another important dimension to his experience. Mauritania, the UAE and Libya each provided different football environments, challenges and opportunities to learn.
The experience gained across these leagues helped develop a broader understanding of player development, football management and the opportunities available to talented players.
Returning to Build Al Assaba Sports
After his playing and football career experiences across different countries, he returned with a bigger vision: to create an organization that could help players develop their careers and access new football opportunities.
This vision led to the establishment of Al Assaba Sports.
Today, Al Assaba Sports focuses on discovering, developing and supporting football talent. The organization aims to create opportunities for players while helping them progress through competitive football and professional pathways.
The experience gained from winning championships in Mauritania, helping a UAE club reach the First Division and competing in the Libyan Premier League provides an important foundation for this mission.
Building Opportunities for the Next Generation
The journey from being part of championship-winning teams to establishing a football organization represents a transition from playing football to creating opportunities for other players.
Through Al Assaba Sports, the focus is not only on football performance but also on helping talented players find pathways toward competitive and professional football.
The organization’s vision is built around player development, opportunities and long-term growth. With experience across multiple football environments, Al Assaba Sports aims to connect talented players with the right opportunities and support their journey in the sport.
From Player to Founder
The story behind Al Assaba Sports is ultimately a story of football experience turning into a broader mission.
From three consecutive Mauritanian Premier League championships, two President’s Cup victories and a Super Cup title, to helping Dahara FC achieve promotion in the UAE and competing in the Libyan Premier League with Asaria SC, each chapter contributed to the experience behind Al Assaba Sports.
The journey continues with a new objective: discovering players, developing talent and creating opportunities for the next generation of footballers.
